Motorbike ride regulations – Hardragon

1) DATE AND PLACE OF THE EVENT

Enduro in Appennino asd is organizing the 5th edition of HARDRAGON – THE EXTREME MOTORCYCLE RIDE on June 20 and 21, 2026.

2) PROGRAM

Saturday, June 20th, 3:00 PM: Start for the prologue (optional): approximately 5 km long, with a team or individual start. The prologue is a narrow loop with challenging natural obstacles that riders can complete as many times as they like.

3) THE ROUTE

Saturday’s prologue route is a highly challenging “spectacle” loop, where riders or teams can warm up for Sunday, perhaps tackling this area several times. Sunday’s route, on the other hand, features a natural terrain route of approximately 70 km. The difficulty will be higher than a typical motorcycle ride, therefore medium-high, compatible with amateur or non-professional riders. Along the route, there will be 10 hard and extreme sections (NOT ASSISTED), of varying lengths, all of which can be bypassed. In these hard and extreme areas, there will be 7 checkpoints to validate.

4) THE REGULATIONS

You can register as an individual rider or in a team. Teams will consist of a maximum of 2, 3, or 4 riders. If the team has more than 4 riders, multiple teams will be formed. Individual riders will have to make their own way through the challenging sections. Those participating in the prologue will receive 1 checkpoint credit to use on Sunday if they miss one. Upon arrival, those who have stamped all checkpoints will receive a special gift. IN ANY CASE, AS THIS IS NOT A COMPETITION, THERE WILL BE NO FINAL RANKING.

THE EVENT ENDS AT 4:30 PM. AFTER THIS TIME, THERE WILL BE NO STAFF AT THE CHECK POINTS OR ALONG THE ROUTE.

5) MOTORCYCLES

Only specific enduro and mountaineering motorcycles can participate in the ride, and must be properly registered and insured. Any type of tire may be used.

6) THE RIDERS

They must be in possession of a valid driving licence and provide a COPY of a valid (1 year) medical certificate for sports, even if not competitive.

7) REGISTRATIONS

You can pre-register on the website www.hardragon.it or on-site on June 20th from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, and on Sunday morning from 7:30 am to 9:30 am. Registration takes place at the office in the town center. A valid (one-year) medical certificate, even for non-competitive sports, is required.

The registration fee is €60.00 per rider for the Sunday Motocavalcata and €75.00 per rider for the Sunday Motocavalcata + Saturday’s prologue. The registration fee includes a free gift, Sunday lunch at the Alpino or Posta restaurants located in the center of Piandelagotti, a mid-course refreshment stop, and an extra gift if you pass all checkpoints.

8) CANCELLATION / MODIFICATION OF THE EVENT

The organizer reserves the right to cancel or modify the motorcycle ride or its regulations at any time prior to the event for various reasons (e.g., severe weather conditions or other causes beyond the organizer’s control). Furthermore, the organizer reserves the right to cancel or modify the motorcycle ride route if weather conditions have severely affected the terrain. The Municipality of Frassinoro, in conjunction with the State Forestry Corps, will have the final say on this decision. The organizer reserves the right to interrupt the motorcycle ride due to weather conditions or unforeseen events that could jeopardize the safety of the ride. In these cases, participation fees will not be refunded.
